Reply to Jordan Lee, NorthfieldRe: Renewal terms for next year
Draft

Hi Jordan,

Thanks for the revised terms. We'd like to renew for another year at 14 seats rather than 12, since two hires start in November. Could the start date move to January 1 so it lines up with our budget cycle? Everything else works for us.

Best,
Maya

Anything that matters waits for your yes

Routine work gets finished. Anything that commits you, mentions money or reaches someone new lands in your brief as a draft, with the reason it waited.

  1. ApproveSends it as written, from your own account, at a sensible hour for the person receiving it.
  2. EditOpens the draft in place. Your changes become style notes for the next one.
  3. DiscardAsks for one reason. Three of the same reason and that kind of draft stops coming.

You set the limits in plain English

Write a rule the way you'd brief a new hire. Nightjar shows how it read the rule before it goes live, and counts how often it was used.

  • Starts strict: it drafts everything until you say otherwise.
  • Rules apply to every tool at once: email, CRM, calendar and Slack.
  • Teams share a rulebook, and each person adds their own.

It works alone, and every step is on the record

Nightjar acts with the narrowest access that gets the job done. Each action is written to an audit log with its source and can be reversed for 30 days.

Scoped access
Read and draft by default. Send, edit records or accept invites only where a rule allows it.
Undo for 30 days
Reverse a sent email follow-up, a CRM change or a calendar move from the log.
Never trains on your data
Your email and records are not used to train models, ours or anyone's.

What mornings look like now

“I used to spend seven to quarter past eight clearing email. Now I approve four or five drafts in ten minutes and walk into my first meeting with notes I didn’t have to write.”

“Our CRM was always two days behind. Now it’s updated from the threads overnight and I read the diffs with breakfast. I reject maybe one change a week.”

“The rule I use most is ‘ask me before writing to anyone new.’ It asked eleven times last month, and every time it was right to.”

Something else? Write to hello@nightjar.example. A person answers during the day.

Owen PriceCustomer success at Nightjar · replies within 4 hours
Can it send email without me?

Only where a rule allows it. Out of the box Nightjar drafts everything and sends nothing. Most teams turn on sending for scheduling replies and receipts within the first week.

What happens if it gets something wrong?

Every action is in the night log with an Undo button for 30 days. Discard a draft with a reason and Nightjar adjusts; three discards with the same reason and it stops offering that kind of draft.

Does it really work at night?

It works during your night shift window, 11:40 PM to 7:00 AM by default, so nothing changes under you while you're working. You can also run it on demand from the app.

Which tools does it connect to?

Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Slack, Notion, Google Drive, Zoom, Linear and Calendly, with more each month.

Is my data used to train models?

No. Your data is processed to do your work and kept for as long as your retention setting says: 30 days, 1 year or until you delete it.

How long does setup take?

About ten minutes to connect tools and choose starter rules. Your first brief arrives the next morning.
